This is a 2-day tour to Lalibela, one of the most important historical and religious places in Ethiopia. Lalibela is famous for its rock-hewn churches that were built in the 12th century and carved from one piece of rock.
On the first day, we visit the north group of churches, including Biete Medhane Alem, Biete Mariam, and Biete Maskal. You will learn about the history of the churches and see how people use them for worship.
On the second day, we visit the south group of churches, including the famous Church of St. George (Biete Giyorgis). You will also see local people, religious ceremonies, and enjoy views of the town.
